Process an in-store credit payment

Note: A customer must have an available (negative) In-Store Credit balance on their account before you can process a payment. See Issue In-Store Credit for details on issuing in-store credits.

  1. From the Payment toolbar, click the In-Store button.
  2. The Amount field automatically populates with the amount due on the transaction. If the amount the customer wishes to use is different, enter that amount instead. Note: Not sure how much the customer has available? The customer’s available balance displays below the Comments field. An available balance displays in parentheses.
  3. Click the Save button.
  4. If the customer overpaid on the transaction, the Change Due dialog box displays. Click OK to return cash to the customer.
