Customers - View Customer Transaction History

Easily view customer transaction history for previous transactions. Multistore retailers can use Ascend HQ - Customer Transaction History to view history for any customer at any of their locations.

Ascend Application

Customers Folder

  1. From the Ascend desktop, navigate to Database Explorer > Customer Record or use the Customer Tile on the Ascend desktop.
  2. Search for the Customer in question.
  3. Single click on the customer.
  4. On the bottom panel, click on the History tab. This will display transactions this customer has had at this location.
  5. You will see three folders displayed:
    1. Incomplete Transactions: Any open transaction associated with this customer.
    2. Completed Transactions: Any completed transaction associated with this customer.
    3. Reservations: Any reservation associated with this customer.
  6. Click + (plus sign) next to the folder of the transactions you'd like to view.
  7. Double click on the Date of the transaction you'd like to Open. This will open the full transaction details.

NOTE: This will ONLY display transactions from this location. For dealerships with more than one location, please check out our Customer Transaction History Report on Ascend HQ (instructions below) for access to ALL transactions throughout all locations in one view.

Customer Record

  1. If you click into the customer record, either from this screen or the sales screen, you can also see the customer’s local transactions.
  2. You cannot open previous transactions from the history tab in the customer record. You can access the link to Customer Transaction History Report.

Ascend HQ - Customer Transaction History

Permission Required

Permission: Reports - Customers Transaction History - Ascend HQ is required to access this report in Ascend HQ.

 
  1. Log into Ascend HQ
  2. Navigate to Reports > Customer History
  3. Click Select Customer and enter your search criteria.
    1. Note: If you clicked the Multi-Store Transaction History link from within a specific Customer Record, it will open to that specific customer's history in Ascend HQ.
  4. Click Search and filter your results using any of the column options to limit the customers that are listed.
  5. Select the customer record you'd like to view by clicking on the results list and clicking Select Customer to view the transaction history.

Export: To export a list of customer transactions or transaction details, click Export from the transaction list or transaction details windows. 

Sales Invoices can also be Emailed by clicking on the email icon for that particular transaction.

Customize: You can add or remove the columns from the report or rearrange the columns as needed.
