Products / Vendor Products - Add/Edit Master Data: Ability to manage information in the Master Data section of the Product Editor, which is shared between all store locations (e.g. Description, UPC, SKU, Category, Brand) and adding products from within the Cloud Catalog.
There may be certain situations where a product needs to have a different tax rate than the Default or even a Category tax. This article walks through how to set a tax rate at the product level.
Set Up a Product Tax Rate
- From the Ascend desktop > Database Explorer (this will automatically open to the Products folder) tile or View > Products.
- Search for the product.
- Double-click the product to open the record.
- Navigate to the Tax Rate section on the In-store Product record.
- Click the Pencil to Edit.

- Click into the Product field and enter the different tax rate.
- Click Save.
