Meet Ascend Cloud 

Now, with Ascend Cloud, you can create and manage Quotes from anywhere. Whether you're on the sales floor or at an event, all you need is an internet connection.

Create quotes in your shop, at a race, or a local event and give potential customers an easy way to connect with your store and complete the sale.

Hardware recommendations:

  • Intel Core i3 or AMD Ryzen 3, w/ 8GB+ RAM, storage of 256GB SSD
  • Unitech EA520 - EA660 Mobile Scanning Devices
  • Android Phone or Tablets running Android 11 or newer
  • iPhone X or iPad equivalent (or newer) running iOS 16 or newer

We recommend using updated versions of any of the four primary browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • iPhone Safari

The application was built and tested to provide a quality experience using the most common resolutions for standard desktop (landscape) and mobile (portrait) viewports, including:

  • General Mobile - 414 × 896
  • EA520 Scanner - 720 x 1280
  • EA660 Scanner - 2160 x 1080
  • General Desktop & Tablet - 1920 x 1080

We develop and test with a specific subset of devices, so if your display seems cutoff, too small, or behaving unpredictably, please ensure you are at the appropriate zoom level (less than 150%) or try an alternative device. 

FAQs

What devices may I access this new web app on?
  • Any device with a quality internet connection should be able to access the application, as long as you have access and permissions set correctly for your user profile in Ascend.
  • Eventually the concept of authorized devices will be implemented, including the ability to add and manage permitted devices. It is NOT available as part of the web application release and is unknown if/when this will be added to Ascend HQ in the future.
How do I update the application version?
  • You Don’t! The great part of this being a cloud-based web application is that new features and updates are released and automatically happen without you requiring you to do anything at all!
  • We may introduce new channels to inform you of improvements to the new web app at some point in the future, however, new features will be communicated in the same way they always have been for the time being.
Is there an “Offline Mode” on the new web app? There is not currently an offline mode available.
What can I do to improve performance if the application is running slow?
  • Ensure that you have a fast, stable internet connection and that you are using a newer device with up-to-date operating system and browser from the supported listings above.
  • If it is still slow try restarting your application or contact Ascend Support Team for assistance.
What should I do if I encounter a bug or the application crashes?
  • Crashes should be infrequent and bugs should be uncommon, however, we are not perfect and acknowledge it may happen from time to time.
  • You may improve opportunities and/or low impact bugs using the Feedback Form found in the User Preferences menu. however you should report significant problems and high impact bugs by contacting our Ascend Support Team directly.
Can I access the same transaction across different devices, browser windows/tabs simultaneously? You may load the application and information across two different devices, browser windows, or browser tabs simultaneously, however, BE CAREFUL when editing from two sources simultaneously.
