Shopify - Send Inventory & Pricing Information

Once your Ascend and Shopify integration is complete and you've confirmed that product SKUs match exactly between both systems, inventory and pricing updates will automatically begin flowing from Ascend to Shopify.

Inventory and pricing feeds: No scheduling required

Good news: you don’t need to schedule anything manually. Ascend handles this with two automated update types:

Delta Syncs

  • Runs every 15 minutes 
  • Only includes SKUs with inventory changes during the last 15 minutes 
  • Ideal for keeping Shopify inventory closely aligned with real-time changes in Ascend

Bulk Uploads

  • Occur nightly at 12:05am 
  • A full sync of all inventory and pricing data from Ascend to Shopify 
  • Useful for comprehensive updates and data consistency

When will inventory appear in Shopify? 

If a product is received in Ascend and meets the following criteria: 

  • The SKU exactly matches (case-sensitive) an existing product in Shopify 
  • The product is Active in Shopify 
  • The location is correctly integrated between Ascend and Shopify

Then inventory levels will typically reflect in Shopify within 15–30 minutes via the Delta Sync.

Can I manually push a Bulk Upload?

Yes, manual Bulk Uploads are possible using the steps below. However, they should only be used sparingly. 

Frequent manual uploads can trigger API rate limits and negatively impact system performance. If you’re noticing issues with product syncing between Ascend and Shopify, the best course of action is to contact the Ascend Support team for assistance.

  1. Log into Ascend HQ.
  2. Settings > Integrations > Shopify Integration.
  3. Click Refresh button on the far right side.

  1. You will receive a confirmation message.
